Productivity/Focus Timer

I wanted a simple productivity timer to track study hours similar to a pomodoro timer but I couldn’t find anything with all the features I needed. I built this super simple app as a starting point.

Currently setting the timer to blocks of 50 minutes:

The app tracks daily totals and stores them in local storage including a daily progress bar. I can also download a CSV with all the data for analysis:

Total time for March 2026: ~65 hours + 10 hours not logged = 75 hours

Possible improvements:
– Test 1hr sessions
– Set a non-negotiable daily floor (150-180 mins?)
– Or perhaps weekly targets
– What is more productive, consistency or high volume days?
– Add manual entry to app
– Perhaps add categories

“A History of Philosophy” by Copleston

Picked up a set of “A History of Philosophy” by Frederick Copleston.

First pass is going to be skimming and scanning rather than trying to understand everything in detail.

Pairing it with this lecture series by Arthur Holmes:

Goal for now is just to get the big picture before going deeper later.
